Many of the questions and problems that have arisen in the Fayetteville Shale in Arkansas are mirrored in this shale forum in Pennsylvania. The first question from the audience concerns water (fast forward to 13:19). They also talk a lot about "lack of enforcement" and "regulation." At about 27 minutes in, the gentleman in the audience says that the legislature has to "look at things real hard quickly."
They have licensed far fewer wells there than we have here. They are proceeding cautiously. We have not. We need to play an amazingly fast game of "catch up."
Note the frequency of questions about water.
We make the public offer to host such a round table right now. Any takers?
