Just wanted to give you a shout and to let you know how much I appreciate your attempt at exposing these most important environmental problems here in Arkansas. As we have spoken of in the past, I do believe this natural gas exploration will unfortunately haunt Arkansas well into the future. Many components of it are environmentally evil, and obviously any needed regulation which would govern it is quickly nullified for short term financial gains. Do you know exactly what regulations do govern it besides the measly stormwater regulations?

Obviously, ADEQ’s not going do anything to stop this destruction. Their mindset is to permit any and all operation, they say they have too as long as the operation proposes to meet all regulations in its application. They must start looking at an operators past performances. It is only until an operator is found to be out of compliance of their permit that ADEQ pretends to care, still at that time they leverage a fine on the operator and allow them to continue their practices. At that time, why do they not shut down the operator? How many chances do they get before Arkansas finds itself in a world of troubles? How will a $20K fine mitigate the problems that have been caused? It is my understanding that trying to repair environmental problems is many times more expensive than protecting them in the beginning. Guess it boils down to being proactive instead of retroactive...

What are you trying to say Dan? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? What are you some kind of conservationist?

As far as I can tell the Oil and Gas Commission rules the roost on all gas well regulations and all other agencies are damn well abiding.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection made the gas fracking chemicals a matter of public record. No group in Arkansas will even hypothesize on legitimizing independent research much less making it a matter of public record.

I figure if we can get Oil and Gas, The Department of Health, ANRC, or ADEQ to put their stamp on the same list as Pennsylvania, the gateway to improvement will open. Unfortunately for us, they all know that if they give us an inch we will want a mile. So they sit in absolute denial. Our federal laws have failed us and they take no action at the state level. Well they can't say we didn't warn them huh?

The state off Arkansas has sold its people out to “Natural Gas Company’s “you can not stop them from coming on your land and all that comes with them. Look up owner ship we do not have it in Arkansas.

Where backwoods, inbred, homegrown, oleoin', banjo-pickin', booger-eaters are duped out of their minerals by high-falutin', fast-talkin', city-slicker type carpetbaggers who leave industrial waste dumps ever where they go with or without the hillbilly's permission 'cause the State of Arkansaw, Land of Opportunity, the Natural State, aka the goberner's office, AOGC, and ADEQ says it's otay.
